West Suburban Currency Exchanges, Inc. is a family owned and operated chain of stores. In 1942, our first store opened its doors in Franklin Park. Today, we have expanded to 29 locations throughout the western suburbs. All of our stores are licensed and regulated by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Our services include the following:
- Check Cashing: We cash all types of checks including payroll, government, personal, two-party, money orders, income tax refunds, insurance drafts and cashier’s checks.
- Money Orders: WSCE money orders are like “prepaid checks”. Customers use them to pay bills or to mail money to relatives.
- Vehicle Licenses & Plate Renewals: As an agent for the Illinois Secretary of State, we are able to process all of your vehicle license and title transactions.
- Western Union: Send money in minutes throughout the United States to Mexico or around the world. Funds can be picked up at participating Western Union Agent Locations around the world.
- Utility Bill Payments: We process utility payments for billers including but not limited to: AT&T, Commonwealth Edison, Nicor, People’s gas and Cingular Wireless, and Sprint PCS.
- Pre-Paid Visa Debit Cards: Purchase or reload a Visa Prepaid card and use instantly at millions of merchants and ATMs worldwide.
- Phone Cards: We sell a variety of long distance phone cards as well as rechargeable phone cards.
- Vital Records: You can receive copies of birth, marriage, or death certificates within 3-4 business days, delivered directly to our locations by an armored car service.
- Foreign Currency: We use the broker services of World’s Money Exchange to convert foreign currency into US dollars and US dollars into foreign currency.
